A new political party has emerged from the familiar Washington landscape that has been ruled by Republicans and Democrats for over 30 years. Effective today the Republicrats will be operating in the halls of Congress.
Republicrats, if you haven’t heard are a mixture of both parties but only the best ideals of both parties. We believe in a person’s right to work and paying their own way. Government assistance is reserved for those with disabilities and other legitimate issues that prevent them from working. We also believe in term limits and a ban on pork barrell spending.
One of the nice things about the Republicrats is they subscribe to the old saying “charity begins at home”. If you look at the US tax dollar, you will find the majority of our tax dollar goes to the military, health, and US debt payments. A small portion goes to energy, housing, etc. I would love to stop all payments to other countries for 1 year and see what happens to our debt. Do we really need to send money to overseas countries for friendship?
Concerning jobs, Republicrats believe that every person has a right to work and should work if they are able. Those able to work and don’t receive no benefits after a few weeks on unemployment or job retraining. It concerns me to see able-bodied persons not working because they don’t really want to work. However, with that said, we need to fund programs that foster job creation in every sector. Pittsburg, PA is a case in point. Twenty years ago, Pittsburgh was a dying city – big steel was in trouble and the local economy plummeted. Today, Pittsburgh is experiencing a revitalization envied by others from all nations.
Republicrats tend to take a isolationist view of war however when provoked due to injustices and true threats to national security, we can and will mobilize our military swiftly and decisively to win – not be lodged in a protracted war lasting several years.
While all of this may seem “fantasy” or “unrealistic” given the world today, Republicrats maintain a simple view of how to run the government. It’s operated like we should do things within our homes:
I know. These things I’ve written about will probably never happen in our lifetimes but it has to start somewhere. Our country is of the people, by the people, and for the people. Seems to me we should probably get back to the basics of operating our government and fix our own country before attempting to reinvent the wheel with a new party. I’ll stay a Republican for now and give the Democrats an opportunity to fix it for a while. It has taken years of neglect on both sides of the aisle in Congress to get the point we are at today. I’m willing to do my share. Are you?
